G. Sylvain Giroux lives in Ottawa, Ontario, following a 35-year career CSIS, retiring in April 2024 as the Chief of Management Services in the Counter Terrorism Division. Throughout his public service, he worked across administrative, operational, and support areas while completing his Human Resources degree at Algonquin College in 2010. Now embarking on his next chapter as an author, Sylvain captures the world through his debut novel, a passion for photography, travel and deep genealogical research tracing his lineage back to mid-1500s France. He has already embarked on his second novel, scheduled for release early in 2027.  He is happily married and the proud father of two daughters.
